Geno Carr, a working actor, singer and director has performed Off Broadway in the musical satire Bush Wars as well as on the national tours of GreasePhantom and The Buddy Holly Story.  He has appeared in leading roles in numerous plays and musicals at such theatres as the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, Maine Shakespeare Festival, North Coast Repertory Theatre, College Light Opera Company, Lyric Opera San Diego, Heritage Theatre Festival, Papermill Theatre and Macklanberg Playhouse.  Favorite regional credits include Leo Bloom in The Producers, Feste in Twelfth Night, Harold Nichols in The Full Monty, Sparky in Forever Plaid, Luther Billis in South Pacific, Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors and Master Sparkish in The Country Wife He has appeared locally in A Christmas Carol and I Love You Because at North Coast Repertory Theatre, A Waltz Dream at Lyric Opera San Diego and a staged reading of Assassins at Cygnet Theatre.  He has directed many plays and musicals including Into the WoodsTwo Rooms, Little Shop of HorrorsDon’t Hug Me and Woman in Mind.  Geno served for two years as Assistant Professor of Theatre and Resident Artist at Stephens College in Columbia, MO and currently teaches Beginning Acting at Grossmont College.  He is a summa cum laude graduate of Hartwick College with a dual B.A. in Music and Theatre Arts, holds an M.F.A. in Theatre (Acting and Directing) from Sarah Lawrence College and is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and society of stage directors & choreographers.
